EGMI LAUNCHES WELLBEING PODCAST FOR RURAL WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS
East Gippsland Marketing Inc (EGMI) is launching a new wellbeing podcast, 'The Rural Venture Collective', which is aimed at connecting and inspiring women throughout the region. The podcast will focus on mental wellbeing in the rural business community of East Gippsland.
EGMI recently received a grant as part of the 'Mental Wellbeing of Business Communities Grant Program’ which is run by the 'Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions.' This grant will help to create and launch the new podcast.
The Rural Venture Collective Podcast will address prevalent mental wellbeing challenges within East Gippsland’s rural business communities, especially for women. Living and working in rural East Gippsland provide a unique work/life balance but people can also experience feelings of isolation, stress, burnout and limited access to support systems. The podcast aims to provide a supportive community where women feel connected, empowered, and inspired on their entrepreneurial journeys.
Through engaging interviews, insightful discussions, and expert perspectives, the podcast will delve into crucial topics such as overcoming isolation, managing stress and burnout, and establishing robust support systems in rural areas. EGMI aims to create an ongoing platform for open conversations and shared personal experiences, so women feel understood and validated.
Liz Whitehill, the Executive Officer of EGMI, expressed her excitement about the grant and the project. She said, “We are thrilled about this opportunity to showcase the stories of women living across our great region. The podcast will be a great way to acknowledge and reach out to women living in remote rural areas, letting them know that they are a valued part of a bigger community".
The Rural Venture Collective Podcast will be launched before the end of the year and will provide women of East Gippsland with a valuable resource to connect and engage with different perspectives and experiences surrounding mental wellbeing in the rural business community.
