🌟 Celebrating International Women's Day 2024: Inspire Inclusion 🌟

March 8th marks a significant day globally as we come together to celebrate International Women's Day. This year, the theme is all about inspiring inclusion, and here at East Gippsland Marketing Inc. (EGMI), we are proud to embrace and amplify the voices of women in our community.

As part of our commitment to promoting inclusivity and empowerment, late last year we launched The Rural Venture Collective Podcast! 🎙️ This podcast is a platform dedicated to showcasing the stories of remarkable women living their lives in rural East Gippsland. Through candid conversations, we aim to connect women across the region by sharing their experiences - their challenges, their achievements, and their everyday lives.

We believe that by sharing these stories, we can inspire others, foster connections, and celebrate the diverse talents and achievements of women in rural East Gippsland.

There are many ways that EGMI partners can become more involved and inspire inclusion and supporting women moving forward:

Host Events: Partners can host events specifically dedicated to celebrating women and their journey, key learnings and successes. These events could include panel discussions, workshops, networking events, or fundraisers that focus on empowering women and promoting inclusivity.

Promote Gender Equality in the Workplace: Partners can take proactive steps to promote gender equality within their own organisations. This could involve implementing policies and practices that support women's advancement, providing equal opportunities for professional development, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.

Support Women-Owned Businesses: Partners can support women-owned businesses in the community by promoting them through their networks and providing mentorship or other forms of support to help them succeed.

Collaborate on Initiatives: Partners can collaborate with EGMI and other organisations on initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality and inclusion. This could involve joint marketing campaigns, co-hosting events, or participating in advocacy efforts to advance women's rights and opportunities.

Amplify Women's Voices: Partners can use their platforms and networks to amplify the voices of women in the community. This could involve featuring women leaders and entrepreneurs in their marketing materials, sharing their stories on social media, or inviting them to speak at events and conferences.
