As Winter Festival Grows, So Do Opportunities for Local Businesses
Last year’s East Gippsland Winter Festival generated almost $240,000 in ticket sales and resulted in an estimated total spend in the region of more than $1.53 million.
Spread across 23 East Gippsland communities and involving 392 local businesses, the festival provided a boost to businesses during a time of year that is usually a flat spot for local traders and accommodation providers.
With the 2023 East Gippsland Winter Festival extending to a full month-long program, 9 June to 9 July, festival organisers have set themselves the ambitious goal of attracting over 8,000 visitors from outside the area.
And they’re looking for local businesses to help them do it.
Sponsor Opportunities for 2023 Festival
“The festival is fast becoming one of the most talked about events in regional Victoria,” said festival founder Adam Bloem. “And when we bring so many new people to East Gippsland, we know that has a big impact on local businesses.”
“We’re looking for businesses to come on board as sponsors of the 2023 festival. We have a range of opportunities available for sponsors to showcase their own brand alongside the region’s world-class creative talents, award-winning produce, rich cultural heritage and unique natural assets.”

Continued Growth
Adam said the goal of the first East Gippsland Winter Festival in 2021 was to help the region recover from the 2019-20 bushfires, and to provide a much-needed economic boost in the quiet off-peak season.
Since then, the festival has gone from strength to strength, and continues to grow in visitor attendance, local involvement and economic impact.
“Visit Victoria is on board as a major partner in 2023, and it really feels like 2023 will go to a whole new level,” Adam said. “We want to showcase the people, places and produce of East Gippsland to thousands of new visitors, but to do that we need the support of local businesses.”
The festival organising committee last week launched a range of sponsorship packages for local businesses, and announced a fundraising dinner and charity auction to be held in March.
