In late 2021, EGMI created the Celebrate Where You Live campaign. This campaign was designed to encourage locals to support locally owned businesses over the Christmas period, instead of purchasing online or via large multi-national companies.
The campaign included a competition, social media, publicity, printed material and interaction with the business and trader groups.
After Christmas, we counted over 400 entries to the competition, all East Gippsland based.
We had over 15,000 views on social media, with more than 7% engagement.
In following up with local business, we received exceptionally high positive feedback - all noting that the campaign was fantastic for the local region.
